Phoenix Light Rail Riders

Phoenix AZ Light RailOctober ridership numbers for phoenix light rail have been announced and it looks like METRO is a hit with residents of the greater Phoenix area.  October was an all time high for ridership numbers on the METRO.  Month over month, ridership on Phoenix light rail increased by 70,000 riders to a new all time high of 1,124,924 riders which averages out to about 40,772 people per day on weekdays.  October also had the highest one day ridership of 50,262 riders on October 2, which exceeded the previous record on May 13, 2009 when President Obama spoke at the Arizona State spring commencement.
