Help Haiti Earthquake Victims

Tuesday, January 19 2010 16:09

Help Haiti EarthquakeOur deepest sympathies go out to the people of Haiti following the devastating  7.0 earthquake on January 12, 2010. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of victims of this natural disaster and to the people of Haiti who are suffering with little or no medical attention and lack food, water and basic necessities. The capital city of Port-Au-Prince has been almost totally destroyed. Estimates of casualties vary from 100,000-200,000 and at least 1.5 million Haitians are now homeless.

In response to this event, Boulder Creek Apartments will include Haiti Relief in our charity referral program and contribute $100 to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund for every new tenant signing a 1 year lease who mentions this program. Interested tenants should mention the Haiti Relief program when they contact or tour the property.

Members of the group Improv AZ coordinated the second annual day of fun on the Phoenix Light Rail. Depending on who you are stuck next to, this could either make your light rail commute go much faster or drag on like an eternity, but either way it stirs up a lot of attention for the Phoenix light rail and a lot of folks had a blast doing it.

Phoenix Share The RideIt seems like every day it gets easier for residents in Phoenix apartments to shed their car. With the state of the current economy, a number of our residents have been leaving their apartments for the day on foot or by bike. There are many great incentives such as cutting fuel costs, getting a little extra excercise or doing your part for the environment.

But what do you do when the weather is horrible, you have a little too much stuff to carry from the apartments to the phoenix light rail, or you just need to get a little further than your bike or legs will take you?
