Chili’s is a great restaurant if you are looking for an easygoing and fun place to eat. Right away when entering the restaurant you can feel the energy. The air is filled with a wide range of savory smells. The service is pretty quick even when it gets busy the wait staff takes it in style and keeps everything coming. It is a great place to come as you are, alone or with others. They are able to do special occasions such as parties and catering. The portions are quite generous so when you come hungry with a big appetite it's all the better.

The menu is extensive with a wide variety of choices along with a kids menu. The assortment of food choices ranges from different appetizers and salads to great meat dishes along with seafood. It is also best if you are able to save room for dessert or just come for dessert that works too. The desserts are fabulous and yet again large so sharing should not be ruled out. Chili’s is an affordable family style restaurant with something for everyone. They have specials running where you may get 3 courses for two for $20. That is a nice way to try a little bit of everything. The restaurant is right off of Mill Avenue and not far from the local entertainment, eateries and shopping, so once you are done eating or before you may want to take a stroll along Mill and check out some of the great shops.

Fatburger

If you are walking along Mill Avenue, you are bound to stumble on Fatburger. If you are looking for a big and “fat” burger this is the place. The meat and size of the burger is quite large and you may pick any of the fixings you would like on it. You may customize your burger and make it your very own creation by adding any of the following extra cheese, chili, egg and bacon. Once you have chosen what you want on your burger expect to be eating a fabulously, juicy, old fashioned burger on a fresh bun, crispy veggies and meat that was not frozen and be ready to have it just melt in your mouth. The burgers are a great value and the wait is not long.

With an atmosphere that is inviting as well as comfortable with nice tunes, a good vibe, and it's not too loud. Another reason to appreciate this restaurant is the fact that there is a helpful staff with a genuine enthusiasm to service the customer and deliver a great burger as efficiently as possible without appearing to be rushed in a fast paced environment. It is a good idea to leave your apartment pretty hungry, you will definitely come home satisfied after eating a Fatburger and a side. So if you are looking for a burger joint to eat at that is a good value and tastes good or you just want to satisfy a craving for a good, juicy old fashioned burger with an old fashion style burger joint then Fatburger is the place to come.

Jersey Mike's Subs

A friend and I stopped in for a quick bite at Jersey Mike’s Subs the other day and were pleasantly surprised. We were in a hurry and walked in around 1:00, we almost turned around and left because it was a little crowded, but we noticed that the line was actually moving pretty quick. I guess they are a chain, but neither of us had ever heard of them before. The staff were all extremely friendly and the sandwiches were prepared as quickly as any Subway or Togo’s, but had a lot more flavor and clearly better ingredients. I was particularly impressed with the great chipotle cheese steak, it included Grilled onions, peppers and chipotle mayo. Cheese steak aficionados would probably knock down the credibility when they offer you the choice to have it on wheat bread, but I did it anyway, and it was really good.

My friend had their turkey and provolone sandwich and was quite complimentary. He said their turkey was really fresh and the all of the fixings made for a simple but flavorful sandwich. It had onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil and their blend of spices. He also had a couple of their cookies and said they were really good.

Next time you are in the Tempe Town Lake area, stop by and check them out. With great sandwiches and a friendly staff, you can’t go wrong. We were very impressed with how quickly they moved everyone through, but greeted everyone in a friendly non rushed manner.
