Tempe Mexican Restaurants (0)

With a healthy variety of different ethnic foods in the area, it should come as no surprise that there are numerous, quality Mexican restaurants in Tempe.  Living in apartments near Arizona State puts you in the middle of some of the greatest.

Rather than serving you rice, refried beans and a makeshift burrito of your choice, many of the Tempe Mexican restaurants serve you quality, delicious Mexican food that are authentic representations of what you would actually find south of the border. Some of them may be chain restaurants and some family-owned independent businesses. Either way, though, this article intends on recommending the absolute best Mexican restaurants in the city of Tempe.

The first recommendation, Someburros, is a chain restaurant that truly does serve great Mexican food in a family-friendly environment. Less expensive than a lot of the “chic” Mexican restaurants that have been popping up lately, Someburros delivers great food consistently and you’d be hard-pressed to find poor service from any of the restaurant’s staff. The food, which you order at the front counter and is then delivered to your table, consists of everything from burritos to their famous ‘pollo fundido’. Their cheese crisps and churros are amazing, as well. If you’re ever hosting a party with Mexican flare, don’t hesitate to call ahead for one of their large party platters. The food is good, make sure to take some back to your apartment for your roommate.

Amados Mexican Food is a truly local favorite, open 24 hours every day and attracting an assortment of clientele. Everyone from construction workers looking for an affordable lunch to clubgoers looking for a 2 A.M. snack flock to Amados for their quick & delicious Mexican fix. Breakfast burrito’s are an obvious staple during the early morning but their chile relleno burritos and carne asada over chips are two of the best items on the menu, and that’s saying a whole lot. Whatever you order, be sure to head over to their condiment bar for their red and green salsas, limes, jalapenos & anything else to spice up your meal.

Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen in the Valley and a lot of them are fairly good, oftentimes being operated and employed by Mexican immigrants themselves with generations old recipes. While there are a lot of good Tempe Mexican restaurants, though, the absolute best are hard to come by. The two listed above would be recommended by nearly every local who has ever been there. They’re delicious, fast & consistent with their great service.
